1970 - The last Regulation of the functions and structure of the National Library was adopted.
1974 - The Regulations for the organization of the research work in the National Library was adopted.
1994, 11.08. - The National Library was declared culture institution with national importance.
1999 - The National Library became a state culture institution with national importance according to the Law of preservation and development of culture.
2000 - The new Law of deposit of printable and other type publications was adopted.
