Dr. Iveta Rasheva


Dr. Iveta Rasheva defended her dissertation on Old Bulgarian literature, worked as a senior assistant at the University of Veliko Tarnovo and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – KMNT. Her scientific interests are in the field of old Balkan and Renaissance literature, comparative European folklore and literary history.

She is fluent in Bulgarian, French, Russian, Greek and English. She uses Serbian and Italian. She has published two monographs, is the editor and compiler of three historical books, and has written over 80 scientific articles in Bulgarian, Greek, Russian and English. She has also published three books of fiction.

Prof. Dr.Vera Boneva


Prof. Vera Boneva is a Doctor of Science in History of Bulgaria and Museology. She is a full-time employee at the University of Library Science and Information Technologies. Her scientific interests are in the field of the Bulgarian Revival, the history of cultural institutions in the 19th and 20th centuries, museum theory and practice. She is engaged in the implementation of museum projects and other cultural activities as an expert.

She is the author of 23 books, over 200 articles and studies, as well as over 100 scientific reviews.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasil Zagorov


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasil Zagorov teaches bibliography and book history at ULSIT. His scientific interests are in the field of history and theory of print communication. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal "Publisher: Scientific Journal". He is a member of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association and the world organization for the history of the book - SHARP. He is the author of 2 monographs and 80 publications in Bulgarian, English and Russian.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radoslav Spasov


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radoslav Stefanov Spasov is a lecturer at the Faculty of History of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and an archivist at the 'St. Cyril and Methodius' National Library. He defended his doctorate in history in 2008 and in philology in 2016. His scientific works are in the field of the Bulgarian Renaissance, history of international relations, and media interpretation of religious and cultural processes.

Prof. Dr.Svetla Atanasova


Prof. Svetla Atanasova works at the Regional History Museum – Veliko Tarnovo. Her scientific interests are in the field of the Economic and Social History of the Bulgarians in the 17th–18th centuries, the National Liberation Movements of the Bulgarians in the 1860s and 1870s, Heraldry and Sphragistics; Cultural and Historical Heritage; Documentary Heritage.

She is the author of over 80 scientific studies, articles and reviews in Bulgarian and English, four scientific monographs and three co-authored books. She is fluent in Bulgarian, Russian and French.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristiyan Atanasov


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristiyan Atanasov is the Chief Archivist of the Oriental Collections Department at the National Library and a lecturer in Economic History at the University of National and World Economy. His scientific interests are in the field of financial and credit history of the Bulgarian lands in the 18th – 19th centuries, archival studies, Ottoman diplomacy and paleography. He is the author of four monographs, other scientific books, many studies and articles in Bulgarian, English and Turkish. He is fluent in Turkish, Russian and English. He works with Ottoman Turkish.

Dr. Boyana Mincheva


Dr. Boyana Mincheva works as the head of the "Preservation of Manuscript and Documentary Heritage" department at the 'St. Cyril and Methodius' National Library.

Her scientific interests are in the field of book history, preservation of literary and documentary heritage, old printed, rare and valuable books, library PR. She is fluent in Bulgarian, English and Russian. She uses Serbian and Croatian. She is the author of over 60 articles and reviews in Bulgarian.

Dr. Vanya Avramova


Dr.Vanya Avramova works as Deputy Director of Library Activities at the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", a part-time lecturer at ULSIT, teaches "Digitization and Copyright" and "Public Communication".

Her scientific interests and publications are in the field of library science and bibliography, the creation of interactive bibliographic resources, digitization and copyright, innovative educational practices, and the management of electronic resources. She is the author of over 30 scientific articles and 4 biobibliographies.

Dr.Maria Brankova


Dr.Maria Brankova works as the head of the Special Collections Department at the 'St. Cyril and Methodius' National Library. Her scientific interests and publications are in the field of management and preservation of special library collections (graphic publications, cartographic publications, music publications), preservation of cultural and historical heritage; initiatives related to the implementation of multimedia technologies for the presentation of special library collections.

She is the author of over 30 scientific articles and 1 scientific monograph.

Dr. Silvia Naydenov


Dr.Silvia Naydenova is the director of the Central Library of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Her interests are in the field of bibliography, digitization, the creation of information resources, the preservation and exhibition of literary and documentary heritage.

She is the author of three biobibliographies and two reference books, and has over 30 scientific articles in Bulgarian, English and Russian.

Prof. Angeliki Delikari


Angeliki Delikari took her Ph.D. in Historical Theology/History of the Slavic Churches at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is Professor of Medieval History of the Slavic People. Her research interests focus on issues about Medieval History and Culture of the Slavic People, Byzantine-slavic relations, Historical Geography, Slavic influences on the creation of toponyms in Greece, Study and Edition of Slavic Manuscripts, Slavic Hagiography, Byzantine-slavic relations on Mount Athos and Macedonia, Medieval History of Russia, Medieval History of Macedonia, History and Cultural Heritage of the Cyrillo-Methodian Mission, etc.

She speaks English, German, French, Bulgarian, Serbian, Russian.

She is author of 5 books, over 100 articles and studies, as well as reviews and translations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lale Özdemir Şahin


Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lale Özdemir Şahin is an Associate Professor at the University of Bartın in Türkiye. Dr. Özdemir Şahin gained her BA, MA and Phd from the University of London (SOAS) and specialises in information rights, digital archiving policy and records management in the digital age. Dr. Özdemir Şahin is fluent in English and Turkish, has a proven track record of participation in European Union Erasmus+ Projects and has authored several national and international publications in both English and Turkish.

Dr. Elizabeta Georgiev


Dr. Elizabeta Georgiev worked for 24 years as a librarian-advisor at the Detko Petrov Library in Dimitrovgrad (Tsaribrod), Serbia. She is currently studying a second doctorate at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".

Her scientific interests are in the field of book history, preservation of literary and documentary heritage, library science and bibliography, promotion of children's reading, the culture of the Bulgarian minority in Serbia, and children's literature.

She is the author of 4 scientific monographs, 2 bibliographies and over 90 scientific articles. She writes in Bulgarian and Serbian, for adults and children. She translates from Bulgarian. She is the editor-in-chief of the literary magazine "Cultural Alternative" and the children's magazine "Farche", which are published in Bulgarian in Serbia.
